This is my most recent eye pot. It's 5.5 inches in diameter, 5.5 inches tall, and has 12 jade green eyes. I don't aim for any specific number of eyes. I haven't ended up with the same number of eyes twice, so I haven't had any ambiguous titles yet. My titles are very straightforward, but it's a part of the process I enjoy. If I do get a repeat eye count, I was considering taking the Windows/Grand Theft Auto route and lapsing into a numbering system based on the order of its creation, temporarily or as long as it serves my needs.

Aberrant Ceramics is the artwork of Aaron Nosheny,
ceramic artist and potter in Tucson, Arizona.
I work in the medium of stoneware clay and make hand-built pottery, sculpture, hamsas, ornaments, masks, and a variety of other forms.
I’m a self-taught autistic artist working in my medium for over twenty years. I like monsters, insects, weird animals, body horror, folk horror, horror comedy, horror in general, Halloween decorations, fast food mascots, kitsch – all of these creep into my work, but there’s really no overarching theme.
I am in love with my medium. I love the process of frantically birthing clay monstrosities, subjecting them to an epic trial by fire, and sending them out into the world.
