Painted Magician

This is the painted version of the Magician from the Magus Tarot card.  I'm planning on using the glazed version on the final card.

He's modeled on the card from the Rider-Waite Tarot deck.

Eryops - Crawling Infant Objects WIP

These are flat objects depicting the extinct amphibian Eryops, a crawling infant, and some combinations and permutations of the two, to be used on the Empress card in the Tarot deck.

Fetus Sculpture WIP

This is a sculptural version of the fetus from the Fool Tarot card.

Small Butterfly Eye Objects

The pottery studio received a donation of some commercial glazes and we finally have a nice primary red glaze.

Large Butterfly Eye Objects

These are butterfly-shaped objects made with a cookie cutter.

Tardigrade Face Object

This was practice for carving tardigrade faces on the mugs.

Tardigrade Tiki Mug #2

This is the second of the two Tardigrade Tiki mugs, with a larger face and carved claws.

Tardigrade Tiki Mug #1

This is a tall slab mug without a handle for drinking rum concoctions.  The tardigrade face is carved and the claws are attached coils of clay.

Weasel Cup WIP

This is a slab mug with a drawing of a long-tailed weasel surrounded by dead bunnies (because weasels eat rabbits).  There are several celebrity bunny appearances and one dead bunny on the inside.  It's part of a collaborative art feud project.

Prelude to an Art Feud

I feel like my art feud has fizzled out and I'm grateful to have someone in my life who has stepped up to fill the void.

Achaierai Paint Job / Shiny Evil Bird

This is a sculpture of a D&D monster called the Achaierai from 2012.  I painted the base and sprayed it with acrylic sealer and now it's a shiny evil bird.

Amoeba-Baby Fool With Shorter Psuedopodia WIP

My first Amoeba-Baby piece broke when I tried to move it to the kiln room.  This one has shorter pseudopodia so hopefully that will make its destruction less likely.
